I couln't get hold of okra which was a shame but it was a really nice meal anyway. I heated the sauce in the sauce pan and put the sliced pork back into it for a couple of minutes which I think worked really well.

I have a love hate relationship with this recipe, my sister loves it so I use it all the time and adapt if for her friend (who also request it when they come over) to dairy free but when I want to try a new recipe my sister makes it quite clear she would prefer if I made these again!

When making this I was certain I had messed it up and it was going to be awful and when I seved it up I warned everyone we could order a takeaway if it was as bad as I feared! We all loved it, it was really good and much better than a takeaway, I was soo pleased!

It was really easy to make and really good comfor food. I added fresh chopped rosemary to the lamb ragu and ground nutmeg to the macaroni cheese. Served with green salad and Mikes home made Potato & Rosemary Bread - Yummy!

I used all white flour, swapped the butter for Pure, swapped the walnuts for pecans and chocolate chips for dark chocolate chunks. They were really yummy and you would never guess they were dairy free.

It was easy to make and I when I tasted it I was instantly back in the ski chalet in samoens France - will definatley make this again. Even my mum liked it who doesnt't eat cheese!
